SPEAKING OF EVANGELISM.... (continued from letter)

When I did the annual seminar this year I tried something a little different. Typically, I am tight
for time so at the end of the seminar I hand out a 2 sided sheet on how to present the Gospel from the Tenach (Old Testament). This time, everyone was so eager to do the Bible study that I planned an optional one hour session the following Saturday to go through the Bible Study and invited people to bring their non-believing friends to observe a class being taught to Christians on how to explain their faith to Jewish friends.. I was a bit nervous ...

..... since I had no idea what non-believers would attend and what the dynamic would be. One actor in particular, Larry, (pseudonym) watched as I spoke, nodding in agreement as I explained the Jewish mindset and understanding. Finally, he said,

"Why don't I just be your guinea pig?"

I moved over to him as everyone looked on and I literally did a one hour bible study with him while everyone watched and I explained to them why and what I was doing. It was risky and challenging, but fruitful. Barry asked if we could have lunch after wards and the one hour turned to 3 hours. He is now working at an acting school run by the Christian acting coach that brought him. I gave him a Bible and he has come to Christian gatherings 3 times so far. Pray for Larry  to come to faith. He is close.
