Praise the Lord for all the fruit of those coming into the Kingdom! See info under Pray for these new believer's below. We had been praying for Josh, a young orthodox Jewish musician who began coming to our Havdalah service / artists salo. After 3+ years of searching, he recently committed his life to the Lord. We now have a new mac and printer that is helping immensely with administration and projects. i am still praying for someone to help with data entry and computer logistics.
Please pray for: LEN MACSTEIN (not real name!) He is a 6 time emmy award winning TV writer who Nikki has known and been praying for off and on for 7+ years. She says, "I recently directed a play workshop of his and in teh script re-write he put in 2 jokes about Jews believing in Jesus. I assumed he googled me and knew I was a believer. During one of our casting lunches before the holidays he asked me if I was fasting for Yom Kippur. 'Yes, I replied, but not for my sins to be forgiven, more to take inventory with God.' 'Well, he said, I am sort of a smorgasboard Jew'. 'Well, you know my background, right?' apparently he did not, so I proceeded to tell him my beliefs and how I had come to believe that Jesus was the promised Jewish messiah just before entering college. His face was ashen. However, as I shared my story with him, he made every effort to let me know that he did not think people's religion or politics should be held against them. Please pray his heart to be opened to the Lord and for further opportunities to work with 'Len'. I would especially love the opportunity to work with him on a project where the idea of Jews believing in Jesus could get into prime-time television (starting with comedy, of course) (P.S. we just completed and performed the entire play to a full house and standing ovation audience) UUPCOMING PROJECTS and PARTNERSHIPS - We are currently looking at developing the right script for a low budget feature film that would be outreach oriented in the making of it, and also provide work opportunities for some of the believers in town. SAMMY, a SONY exec who is now looking at The Case for Christ. He is a Jewish non-believer surrounded by 2 colleagues who work with him and are Jewish beleivers in Jesus. Pray that he will come to faith and make great decisions about which films to 'green light' HOPPER, a TV set photographer who is searching. (Jewish, of course). I recently shared the gospel with him and his fiance. He is currently reading the materials I gave him. Pray the Lord opens his eyes JUDY - A Jewish music producer. 10+ years ago we prayed that God would give her a child. After years of trying, she got pregnant immediately. Now, Judy is seeking to find out if Jesus is true and she remembers this miracle. After meeting with her recently for a Bible study about the messiahship of Jesus, she is open to reading and seeking. Pray for her salvation. . Jeff & Sam - Scientists. Jeff is a Jewish writer/producer with a science background who is an agnostic. Sam, also a scientist and an agnostic, is a fomer professor at Cal Tech. He is going into film now and beginning his USC grad studies this week. Both have been in ongoing dialogue about the existence of God and validity of scripture. Pray that the Lord will open their eyes. UPDATE ON JEFF - Jeff has recently notified me that he has read much of the Bible Nikki gave him and has pages of 'sticky notes' throughout that he is ready to discuss. Pray for the ongiong dialogue that is about to ensue in answering his many questions) MARTIN , Off-Bwy Producer. Jewish. Started out hostile to the topic, but is now asking questions.
